High adventure trips are week or longer outings for older scouts (usually
thirteen or above). These trips are always a challenge and a joy.
For most boys, they are the highlight of their scouting career.
Troop 19 has been to all of the national high adventure bases including
three trips to Philmont, three to the sea base in Florida, and four
trips to the northern tier canoe bases. We have also gone to many
council high adventure bases including sea kayaking in Maine and
rafting/backpacking in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.
