Troop 19 was organized in February of 1980 at Fairview School and was sponsored by Fairview Families. Scott Myers was the first Scoutmaster followed by the present Scoutmaster, Fred Hoyt in 1983.

In 1990 the troop moved to the First United Methodist Church and is sponsored by the United Methodist Men organization at the church.
