Venture Crew 19 is Here! Venturing is here in Bloomington-Normal! Venturing is a B.S.A. program with a focus on High Adventure and outdoor skills. Young men and women ages 14-20 are eligible to be in Venturing. Also, parental support is encouraged. Adult leaders provide guidance while activities are in play. Crew 19 was the first Venturing unit in the Bloomington-Normal area. The Venturing program is very flexible in that each Crew can decide a program emphasis. Crew 19’s program is founded off of Winter Sports, Water Sports and Outdoor skills. Crew 19 has participated in many activities and events. Canoeing, White Water Rafting, X-C Skiing, Wilderness First Aid, Leave No Trace, COPES, Rock Climbing, Backpacking, and Bicycling are all part of Crew 19’s history and FUTURE.
